Exchange Teaching Hub: Successful Redesignation
Since the inception of teaching school hubs nationally in September 2021, Exchange Teaching Hub has delivered impactful, evidence-based CPD programmes to over 2500 colleagues across Barnsley, Doncaster, Selby and Wakefield – and beyond.
In partnership with University College London (UCL), our partnership has successfully established an Early Career Framework (ECF) offer that is of the highest quality to over 1600 ECTs and mentors, offering bespoke support and guidance to induction tutors, mentors and ECTs. Furthermore, Exchange Teaching Hub has delivered the full suite of reformed National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), in partnership with UCL and Best Practice Network (BPN), facilitated by highly credible experts locally, with programme members achieving an overall 98% pass rate.
Our central team and loyal partnership have offered exceptional levels of support to colleagues on all of our programmes, including bespoke CPD, resulting in exceptionally high satisfaction rates.
Following a recent DfE designation process, we are delighted to inform you that our two teaching school hubs have been redesignated to Delta Academies Trust, with Grange Lane Infant Academy as the lead school for Barnsley and Doncaster, and The Vale Primary Academy as the lead school for Selby and Wakefield. Exchange Teaching Hub will continue to operate from September 2024, proud to offer a high quality appropriate body service, ECF in partnership with UCL and the full suite of NPQs, in partnership with UCL and BPN. We will ensure that delivery is continually refined to encompass the latest guidance and programme offers including the new NPQ for SENCOs from October 2024.
Exchange Teaching Hub forms part of a portfolio of professional development and partnership work, named The Exchange Partnership, offering local solutions to local schools; also comprising Exchange Teacher Training, Exchange Subject Knowledge Enhancements, Exchange Research School at Don Valley Academy and the Science Learning Partnership for South and East Yorkshire. Our diverse and broad alliance is characterised by a commitment to sharing knowledge and best practice for the benefit of all pupils, particularly those who are facing the most disadvantage.
We look forward to continuing to collaborate with the partnership for the benefit of children in our communities.
