Apply for a full-time place in Reception
Children born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019 are due to start primary school in September 2023.
Applications need to be completed online via the Wakefield Council website.
The closing date for applications is 15 January 2023. It is important that all applications are completed by this date. Last year, 94% of on-time applicants were offered a place at their 1st preference school, compared to only 56% of late applicants.
At the Vale Primary Academy, we are in high demand for full-time reception places, we therefore advise that parents and carers select as many preferences as possible. Attending our nursery does not guarantee a place in our reception class.
