Pupil Parliament

The Vale Primary Academy Pupil Parliament

At The Vale Primary Academy we pride ourselves on giving our pupils the power to make change and influence the direction the academy takes.

Our Pupil Parliament meet regularly throughout the year. At these meetings, our Pupil Parliament can choose to invite the school senior leadership team and are given the opportunity present to the wider school about their ideas.

Pupil Parliament at The Vale
At The Vale Primary Academy, our Pupil Parliament gives children a real voice in shaping school life. Elected by their classmates, pupil MPs meet regularly to share ideas, lead initiatives, and make positive changes across our school.

Our Parliament is made up of five key departments:

  • Finance – managing fundraising ideas and budgets
  • Inclusion – ensuring every voice is heard and valued
  • Eco Action – leading projects to protect our environment
  • Attendance – promoting good attendance and punctuality
  • Reading and Literacy – encouraging a love of books and reading

Through these departments, our pupils take responsibility, work as a team, and show leadership in making The Vale the best it can be.

Reading and Literacy – We promote a love of reading by sharing books, recommending stories and helping make reading fun across school.

Finance – We help plan fundraising events and make decisions about how money raised in school can be used to benefit everyone.

Inclusion – We make sure every child’s voice is heard and that our school is a place where everyone feels safe, valued and respected.

Eco Action – We lead projects to care for the environment, from recycling and saving energy to protecting wildlife around school.

Attendance – We encourage children to come to school every day, on time, and celebrate classes with the best attendance.
